Avent Breast Milk Storage Systems - Bags Vs Containers

!±8± Avent Breast Milk Storage Systems - Bags Vs Containers

Avent manufactures a wide assortment of breast milk storage options. Two of those are Avent's storage bags and storage containers. While both of these can be frozen for storage, each has its application depending on your specific needs. The price of each of these is comparable with the other and need not be a deciding factor in your decision.

Avent's storage bags are clearly marked so that you can see exactly how much breast milk you have pumped. The downside is that when you want to use it, you need to pour from the bag into a bottle. These bags are not reusable, but you are guaranteed a sterile one with each new one you use. That being the case, you will also have to buy a fresh supply each time you run out.

The breast milk storage system uses containers that are washable and reusable up to three times. These are equally well for frozen storage as are the bags. These containers can then be thawed and with a nipple placed on top, be used to feed with rather than transferring to another bottle.

One of the main issues with the storage system containers is that sometimes the lids are difficult to secure and leak. If you place these on a hard, flat surface, you will not have this problem. You will need multiple sets of these also as with the bags.

The BPA Free storage system is manufactured chemical free so there is nothing in the product that could harm your baby. This system has containers in yellow so they are easily identifiable in group settings such as daycare or the baby sitter with multiple charges. This system can be frozen for storage and are reusable up to three times as well.
